Health Care Debacle

The republicans ran on repealing and replacing the ACA (Obamacare) for years and when they finally have the opportunity to put up, they try to give us Obamacare 2.0.  It is a joke and I congratulate and support the republican senators that put up a roadblock from this deceitful process that is not a repeal and replace.  The BS Paul Ryan used claiming we must use reconciliation as the first step and then two more steps was just his way of not upsetting the apple cart for fear they might lose some seats in 2018.

As Sen. Rand Paul stated, “We promised to repeal and replace but weak kneed republicans failed on the promise.”  The Rand Paul plan is the one the republicans should put forth for debate, but it actually benefits the patient and doctors and not the insurance companies.  The present republican plan does not allow for purchasing insurance across state lines.  Remember that was another republican promise. And why you may ask was it not included?  It would permit competition and insurance companies do not like competition since it would decrease their income.  That is what this argument is all about between democrats and republicans, the insurance companies.  

Under Obamacare, the insurance were swayed into supporting the plan since they were promised an increase in income with government assistance in the financial end.   In other words, they were “bought” into getting their support.

Under the republican plan, they violated their promise and did not include going across state lines as we can do with auto insurance etc., so the insurance companies can see their income not be in jeopardy and there would be little or no competition, just like they have enjoyed over the years.  Little competition means they can do just about what they want with their rates and what they will or will not cover.  

So, with members of congress going on another break (more breaks, less work) you should attend their meetings, if they hold them and ask the following question: “Why did you not repeal Obamacare as you promised and Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell promised for years?” That is why we voted you into office.  Also, say, all government employees, including members of congress and their staff must also be under any healthcare legislation passed in congress.  This will result in two things.  Either they will pass the best healthcare ever, or they will tell you under their breath, go screw yourself, that will never happen to members of congress.  

The Republican Party, just like the Democratic Party are more concerned about their party and elections then the country and healthcare, even though they may claim and sound like they do.  It is all about power not you. 

The democrats gave us Obamacare, they know it is collapsing, which I believe is intentional since they really want single payer.  Better known as socialize medicine, where wait times to see doctors can go as far as three weeks to nearly a year.  Don’t believe me, then do the research for Canada and other countries that have socialize medicine and you will see.  

All we need in healthcare is for the government to get out of the way.  By that I mean, allow us to purchase insurance policies that meet our needs and not the government needs as in Obamacare in addition to purchasing catastrophic insurance if that is what we want. Also, allow us to purchase insurance across state lines.  Government should only be involved to make sure we are not getting ripped off when insurance may conspire to fixed rates.

Under Obamacare, doctors are retiring early, leaving medicine and choosing another profession other than patient care.  We will eventually have a shortage of doctors as in socialize countries.  

What the socialist/Marxist party wants (Formerly the Democratic Party) is to dictate what doctors and hospital can charge and whether treatment is necessary or the patient should just go home and die.  This just about what former President Obama said when Obamacare was being passed.  To paraphrase his statement, “If the treatment is costly and a financial strain on the system, then they should just give the patient a pill and send him home?"

Remember, you may be healthy today and tomorrow you may be involved in some type of accident or another medical emergency where treatment may be expensive, but could save your life, but the doctors or a government bureaucrat will determine the treatment is too costly, so just die.  

You heard a few years ago some democrats making these statements that all the republicans want is for you to go home and die.  You are hearing that again today from both democratic leaders in congress where hundreds of thousands will die.  Of course they cannot back up their lies with facts, but in the country where fake news is rampant, it is not necessary.  The MSM will support their allegations and the dumb, clueless or uninformed will believe them.

What you have to realize from the democrats is the old saying, you look at the right hand, but what is the left hand doing.  That is, what they claim to be preventing is really what they are doing.  Everything they claimed republicans had against Obamacare they said would never happen and yet, it is our there for all to see.  But, they now are blaming President Trump for Obamacare failure through his use of Executive Orders that cancelled Obama’s Executive Orders.  Everybody knew that the next president can override the previous president’s executive orders and to avoid that, the president should have had legislation passed in congress.  But, Obama knew his Executive Orders would not see the light of day in congress.  So, Obamacare is failing under its own and the only way democrats will ever come to the table will be if the republicans cannot pass a bill and the democrats see failure in the upcoming election in 2018.  That my friends is the crux of the matter, power of the chosen few in government, not the people.

If you think many in congress really care about your plight, they would have gotten together and passed a bill that we all can agree would be the best in healthcare.  But, they will not because it is all about power, who has it and who does not.  Who can dictate an agenda in congress and who cannot.  You are witnessing the SWAMP in action.  Just what President Trump wants to drain.  But he cannot do that without our help at the voting booth or attending our congressional representatives town hall meeting and letting them know.
