The Unaccountable Presidency

During his first 4 years, President Obama blamed former Pres. Bush for all the economic problems, rising debt, job losses, high employment and lack of mortgage loans, among other things. 

Now for the beginning of his 2nd term, Obama can now blame the Republicans, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and other conservative voices.  It seems that this man cannot take responsibility for anything and must blame someone else for all his shortcomings.  Even Sequester, that is well documented he instituted, he now blames Republicans who protect the rich and want to screw the middle class.  Of course the recent tax increase in January did screw the middle class, but Obama escapes that by blaming the Republicans.  As long as the mainstream news media protects this president from any fault for this disaster this country is going through, he will slide through another 4 years as the citizens slide further into debt and the country into recession.  But, we all know that Obama will not be accuse of any wrongdoing.  The news media is the protector of our constitution and when they are complicit in what this administration does, the constitution becomes meaningless.  However, what the news media does not realize, no matter how much they endorse Obama's recklessness and lies, eventually, as we slip into a socialist/Marxist/communist society, the news media will become a threat to his administration and they will be silenced.  Remember the poem by Pastor Niemoller who escaped persecutiion by the Nazis: 

First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me. 

And now a new play on this by yours truly. 

First they came for those who disagreed with them and I did not speak out because I did not disagree with the administration. 

Then they came after Fox news and I did not speak out because I did not watch Fox news. 

Then they came for the newspapers that objected to them and I did not speak out because I did not read those papers. 

Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

 

Our Narcissistic President

It seems as the world burns, our president campaigns. We hear Sequester, Middle East in flames, terrorist threats, rising deficits, Benghazi, Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, China problems and yet this president leaves governing to Pelosi, Reid and Jarrett while he goes out campaigning. He believes he is loved and the crowds that come hear him speak puts him on an ego trip. Being president he loves the travel perks and eats up the attention he gets. But he forgets, Jesus got a lot of attention one week (Palm Sunday) and the next he was crucified. One week you can be on top of the world and the next, down you go. He is the Campaigner-in-Chief.  It would be nice if during the next 4 years, he would try being president.

God or Government

It started nearly 50 years ago, when the war on religion began.  Since then we have seen a slow but aggressive progression to remove God and any symbol of religion or celebration from our lives.  The 1st Amendment gives us protection from prohibiting the free exercise thereof, but over this time period we have seen groups, courts and politicians circumvent what our constitution says, by quoting the separation of church and religion that is not in the constitution and ruling against any form of religion expression on government property that had been acceptable since our founding over 220 years ago.  We now see government becoming our new religion as a replacement for God.  As church attendance has decreased during this time, government handouts have increased.  After all government now gives us money, cellphones, a home, food other material stuff.  What government gives us we can see and touch if we do not rock the boat, we can get more.  But what does God give us? Government gives us material, God gives us the spiritual.  Government gives us things that will expire, but God gives us eternity.  Our world has made great advances during this timeframe in producing inventions that have improved our living conditions, while ignoring the one who gave us life.  It is God not government that will save us if we only turn to Him.  God has the answers, government has the lies.  The choice is yours.  Live for the present or live with the promise of eternal life after death. 

 

 

 

 

 

Sequestation BS

We are constantly hearing about how bad things will be if Sequestation takes effect on March 1.  What the politicians are not telling you, and this includes the White House,  is that these cuts are actually cuts in the percentage of the increase various departments would be receiving each year.  What the public fails to understand is that every year, there is an automatic increase in the budget of these various departments that can vary on average from 5% to 10%.  So, under Sequestation, the Defense Department will only be getting a reduction in their expected annual increase.  So, for example, if the DOD was to receive an annual increase of 10%, under Sequestation they may only receive a 5% increase.   What you are hearing from Congress and the President is all pure unadulterated bullshit. These people are only interested in their jobs, power and keeping their party in power, not what is good for the country.
