Watched and Monitored. Who are we?

We are being watched and monitored by a government that is becoming more totalitarian and tyrannical every day.  We now have a government that is pursuing its' agenda regardless of the fallout from all these scandals.  Will the young voters of today stand up and speak out on their rights slowly being taken away or will they forever remain silent?  That is the question to ask today.  Are today's young voters enamored by a person they perceive to be well spoken and "cool" as he dazzles them will meaningless words and phrases?  History has taught us that Hitler, Stalin, Castro and even Hugo Chavez spoke a good line when and until it was too late for the citizens of those countries to speak out without death threats.  We do not have death threats yet, but this government is using the IRS, NSA, FBI and in part even the EPA to bring the power of government to create havoc in a person's life and or business.  Even though we have a law to protect whistleblowers, this government will use the Espionage Act to silence their critics and threatened those individuals with long jail time.  NSA whistleblower Snowden may have done something illegal, but if he tried to be a whistleblower in front of Congress he would never have made it to the capital and would be MIA.  Former CIA director David Patreous stated in a confidential meeting with the Congressional Intelligence Committee indicating government has the ability with the new microwaves, washing machines and other small appliances that have small chips to monitor an individuals actions.  That is, is that person home or away by monitoring if any of these appliances are being used.  And we thought George Orwell's 1984 was far out.  This government and the increasing and expanding use of technology makes "1984" seem like old history.  And we might add that both political parties are complicit in this.  Government has gotten too powerful over the past 100 years and it is time for the American voter to speak up or in a very short time you will forever be silent.  It is time, if you are a registered democrat or republican to change your registration to independent or no party affiliation.  This will send a message.  After all, you mean nothing to these two parties since it is corporations that run the show through their multi-million contributions to the party coffers.  It is time to elect only those individuals who are strict constitutionalist and will only follow the constitution and not their party or outside influences.    Your freedoms are at stake.  The next question to ask, is who do you trust, government to make decisions for you or yourself to make you own decision on how to live and work? To do what you want to do and not what government dictates you to do.  That is why we had a Revolutionary War.

What a Great State

Is this the same state that built a BIG prisons  which looked BETTER than my home and millions of others?  But I would rather have mine!  

There are more people on 'Welfare' in Illinois than there are people 'working'.
Chicago pays the highest wages to teachers than anywhere else in the U.S.
...'averaging' $110,000 per year.  Their pensions average 80-90% of their income.
You can't blame that on republicans because there aren't any.

And he is going to 'fix' Washington politics for us???

And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned a couple of weeks ago. 
That is because he is fighting being sent to...that's right, the 'big house' .

It is nice to know we are so secure

I feel so safe and secure in my country after listening to all these recent Congressional hearings. After the initial Benghazi hearings where four lives were expendable because of a video no one had heard about, we now know that the State Department was too busy engaging in sexual encounters.  The spying on a FOX news reporter was just the government trying to find out who he was talking to and that AG Eric Holder did not know about this case even though he signed off on the search warrant.  We know government used the IRS to harass those who were political opponents in an effort to discourage free speech. We know the government used the NSA to spy on all 300 million Americans because they were looking for terrorist.  This is in keeping with DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano's statement four years ago that returning Veterans, Second Amendment advocates, NRA members, TEA Party members, and Bible reading Christians are all potential terrorists.  If you have a home security system with cameras, you can feel secure knowing the government could be watching you. 

 

I feel very secure when President Obama claims he did not know about any of this until he heard it on the news or read about it in the paper.  Who is going to tell Dorothy and Toto that not only are they not in Kansas, or Oz, but evidently not even in the United States?  It is really the former Soviet Union.  Trust in God, not government.

 

 

It's Amazing!

Isn't it amazing that with the Obama administration scandals and all the hearings so far, where representatives from the following agencies testified: IRS, State Dept., DOJ, FBI and NSA did not know anything.  Eric Holder did not know anything about the investigation with Fox news reporter James Rosen even though he signed off on the search warrant.  The head of the IRS and other officials were clueless but it was 2 agents in Cincinnati.  The State Dept. reps knew nothing on how an unknown video became the focal point for the Benghazi attack how and who changed the talking points.  Did not know who ordered a stand down as well as who read the cables from Ambassador Stevens and his staff complaining about security.  Recently, FBI director was clueless on who was conducting what investigation.  Last but not least, the NSA was not spying on American citizens even though all information so far indicates they were in violation of the Patriot Act.  And all these people are in important positions in their agencies and we wonder why we have a corrupt administration.  To say that these individuals did not have knowledge is a false belief and these individuals are just covering their asses from criminal prosecution as well as the White House that in reality directed these scandals.

A follow-up

As a follow-up to the previous blog, I stressed that President Obama is more interested in the perks as president rather than performing the actual job he got elected to do.  Well, I forgot to add the potential trip to South Africa that will cost between $60 to $100 million.  Now, we had a sequester that actually was approximately $25 million cut this year, but made out to be the most damaging and destructive thing to our budget.  Now we know if all the agencies in government cannot find $25 million to cut, we are really hopeless as a government.  So, with the proposed trip to South Africa using the guise of a meeting with heads of state, is really a tour and a safari with his wife and 2 children.  Like I said, it is all about taking trips on the taxpayer and if you do not like, "why did you elect me".  Of course, someday we will find out the corruption in the last election, but not in this century.  So hang on since there is more to come and Congress will not do anything to prevent this since they are almost as corrupt as this administration.  After all, this is all a club where members of congress pretend to fight against each other, (except for a handful of congressional legislators),  they just go through the motions.  But in reality, there is little difference between a republican and democrat.  They both suck big time.  That is why they pass bills without reading them since their districts will all get a piece of the action and thus get reelected.  The voter is at the bottom rung of the ladder, but these elected officials always come out during election time to tell us how great a job they are doing and unless you have been following the issues, (most voters are clueless) they get reelected.  The party appoints the candidate they want to run in order to keep the scam going.  Yes, there may be a primary, but their man wins 95% of the time.  Only when the voter awakens, voices loudly his displeasure and not be duped by fantastic speeches and lies and deception, will the people take back their country.  But, when the government gets over 50% of the voters on the government dole, it may take many years and a bankrupt government to turn things around.  Greece is coming here, so be prepared and stock up on food and have a sufficient of money on hand in your physical possession since government will prevent you from withdrawing your money from a bank.  Conspiracy theorist, no, but one must think on what is happening.  The stock market is climbing because the Fed is printing approximately $85 Billion a month so investors feel put you money in stocks so as long as the Fed prints money, the stocks will rise.  Of course, when the Fed pumps money into the market inflation naturally occurs.  Just look up the Weimar Republic on the Internet and see what happens when government just keeps printing money.

What we know about Obama

Dad not around much.  Mother was not that interested in him.  Possesses an over inflated sense of self worth and a sense of entitlement.  (Why he sees the presidency as perks not as a leader of a country or world)  Fragile self esteem and does not accept criticism well.  He lacks empathy towards others and believes only can be understood by Harvard, Yale and Columbia graduate like people and will only associate with such people and needs them to validate his insecurities.  Suffers from a martyr complex and believes anyone he encounters who is strong minded is his enemy.   

Does not like it when others break the law, but sees no problem when he does it.  He is narcissistic, in love with himself and believes he is privileged.  Rules and laws are for the common man not someone like him who is destined to make a difference in the world.  He will say and do anything to keep his position and deflect everything to someone else. 

This is why Pres. Obama and his cronies are always denying, deflecting, blaming others, don't know, not aware, was not informed etc. on all the scandalous allegations.  Benghazi, (a movie nobody in the world heard of), Fast and Furious (Bush did it), IRS (Cincinnati office), DOJ & AP(no knowledge) and NSA (overblown and we do not do that).  Take time to think about what has happened in past 2 years and you will see this is his personality.  At this time he is really not capable of being Commander-in-Chief, but would rather enjoy just the perks.  Traveling on Air Force 1, golfing, campaigning and speeches.  He has a low attention span on any decisions he must make that will interfere with his perks.  That is why after being briefed on Benghazi at the beginning of the attack, he was never heard from then and was more concerned with traveling to Nevada for fun raising.   

And what did his staff say about Benghazi.  Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta says not knowing the situation, they did not want to put troops in harms way.  I guess he forgets all the landings our troops made in the Pacific during WWII, the Normandy landings, Iraq and Afghanistan.  Or the other argument that there was not enough time.  Of course no one knew at the time of the attack, it would last between 7 to 9 hours.  If the attack lasted 24 hours, what would have been their excuse.  But, many experts say help could have been there within 3 hours.  These 4 deaths were expendable and with this president's agenda nothing will interfere with his perks.  Traveling on Air Force 1, giving speeches and campaigning is his number one priority and anything else is not a concern.  As it is today, he will not address these issues and his agenda is to ignore the problems, do not address them and with the assistance of the left leaning media hopes the scandals will go from page 1 to page 15.  Constitutional  rights are being violated, IRS is being used for political purposes, people are dying, guns are being given to Mexican drug cartels, but he wants our guns taken away, and the NSA are spying on the American people.  What country are we becoming?  The one are Founding Fathers gave us or the ones we have seen in history that show us where rights and freedoms were denied.  George Orwell's 1984 has arrived.  The question you must asked yourself is what country do you want? Freedom or slavery.   Speak up now and voice your objections to your representatives or become a subject to government.  Remember, we fought against a country in 1776 when we did not want to be subjects.

Then there is the colleges he attended.  Occidental college where he indulged in alcohol and drugs and was expelled.  Then he wound up in Harvard and Columbia, schools that are not easy to get into and costly.  So how did he get into these schools and what name did he use.  Did he use the name Barry Soetoro, his mother's 2nd marriage with a passport indicating him as a foreign student from Indonesia?  Many say this the only way he may have been accepted into these two schools.  But who paid his tuition if he came from Occidental with such a poor history in the school?  Questions that need answers.   So, we must also ask, who is the real Barrack Obama?  And nobody remembers him in Columbia.  Will we ever know the whole story?  Will the news media ever do their job? The have not so far. 

Ben Franklin had it right

What Ben Franklin said over 200 years ago seems to be applicable today with all the NSA spying, IRS spying, DHS spying, and FBI spying. 

"Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." 

Yet we have some of our Congressional Representatives who seem to have no problem with the NSA spying even though this spying has created a furor among the citizens of this country and seems not in compliance with the original intent of the Patriot Act.  Although this whistleblower may be exposing secrets, it is no secret that government have been spying on telephone, Emails and other forms of communications since the Patriot act was initiated.  However, since we have seen government pushing for more power and control over the past 5-7 years of everything in our lives, the question is, "How much privacy do we want to give up?"  We also know, that the constitution cannot be altered or change without an amendment and not through Congressional legislation.   But that has not stopped these people from trying and so far succeeding in their objective.  This is not a Republican or Democrat issue, but a constitutional issue that most members in neither party seems to want to protect.  It is all about power over people and we all know that power corrupts.  Now, if anyone believes that all this spying is really about providing security from terrorist, I know a bridge in Brooklyn that I can sell you.   

It has now been reported and a court brief filed that the IRS went to insurance companies in lovely, liberal California and grabbed approximately 10 million health records without presenting a search warrant and refuse to return them.  Will monitor this one to see if all the facts are correct.

 

A congressman while given a tour by DHS observed agents for IRS taken firearm practice with AR-15's. Now, one must ask, why IRS agents.  Will they be coming after us if we are late in sending in our returns or we fail to comply with Obamacare? 

We are at the crossroads of our freedom.  You can not sacrifice a little freedom for security because we know that government if given an inch will take a yard.  It is just human nature and our Founding Fathers knew this when writing our constitution that would not have been approved by the colonies if the Bill of Rights would not be included even though the constitution was approved with that promise, that government actually kept.  Something that we would not see today.  Now think about this.  Do you really think that our constitution if written today would be 4 pages or less?  I think there would be so many amendments, that the 70,000 pages that we see in the Tax code would not be enough and as President Obama believes, government should control what rights you deserve.  That is why he said many times that the constitution provides citizens with negative liberties (something government cannot take away without the amendment process) and believes government should dictate what liberties you can have.   Look it up. 

By the way, if you use a security system that you can access from your cell phone or computer, be advised so can the NSA and observe through those video cameras what you are doing.  And you think your system was providing you security.

 

 

Who is Samantha Powers and Cass Sunstein

Samantha Powers is the current nominee by President Obama to be UN Ambassador.  But who is she and what is her relationship to the radical professor Cass Sunstein.  Well, they are husband and wife.   

Samantha Powers has made controversial statements in the past and none more noteworthy than her comment on Israel.  In a response she gave to a question, it appeared to indicate a possible willingness to send in U.S. troops to impose peace on Israel.  That is, to impose a peace, send our troops on the border of Israel and not facing the Palestinians, but Israel.  In 2008, Power had to resign from the Obama campaign after calling democratic nomination opponent Hillary Clinton a “monster.”  Of course, on that she may have been correct since after all, with her being a controversial figure, "What difference does it make". 

But her husband, Cass Sunstein is a very controversial figure who has a distain for our constitution and constitutional rights.  Cass Sunstein has made some of the following remarks. 

A proposal that the government ban “conspiracy theorizing,” including by sending agents to infiltrate websites and chat rooms. Among the beliefs he would ban, is that the theory of global warming is a deliberate fraud.

On Rumors, he argued websites should be obliged to remove “false rumors” while libel laws should be altered to make it easier to sue for spreading such “rumors.”

In the book, he cited as a primary example of “absurd” and “hateful” remarks, reports by “right-wing websites” alleging an association between President Obama and Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers.  Of course that relationship is well documented, but this was an attempt to disassociate the two from creating a problem during Obama's campaign.

He also singled out radio talker Sean Hannity for “attacking” Obama regarding the president’s “alleged associations.”  He has made it known his dislike for differing opinion from his perspective. 

He also pushed and is still pushing for a “Fairness Doctrine” that would include the establishment of a panel of “nonpartisan experts” to ensure “diversity of view” on the airwaves.  He compared the need for the government to regulate broadcasting to the moral obligation the U.S. had to impose new rules that outlawed segregation.  In other words, freedom of speech should be regulated.

In April 2005, he opened up a conference at Yale Law School titled “The Constitution in 2020,” which sought to change the nature and interpretation of the Constitution by that year. He was a founder of the movement.  And guess who sponsored this event.  None other than George Soros, Open Society Institute, a extremely radical group that has only one thing in mind, the destruction of the United States as we know it.   

So this is a husband and wife team and if you don't think that they do not influence each other, and have similar thoughts on world and domestic affairs, you may have just arrived from another planet.  But then again, if you do not believe our government is not acting contrary to our constitution, then you may find this UN appointment, not a big deal.  And our slide into tyranny will continue and someday we will all wake up and wonder "what the hell just happened and why did we allow this to happen".

More scandal news

Congressman Mike Rogers (R) supports the NSA looking into our phone, credit card purchases, internet activity and whatever else we do through using electronic equipment.  He even claimed at least one (1) terrorist attack has been prevented.  Whoopee!    

Of course he conviently forgot to mention the shoe bomber, underwear bomber, Ft. Hood massacre, Times Square bomber and the Boston bombing.  All of these appear not to have been prevented through government agency snooping, but through luck and being in the right place at the right time.  And, I forgot the murder of the Army recruiter in Arkansas by an Muslim convert approximately 2 years ago.  All this great electronic snooping and yet, some of these terrorist attack were prevented either to the terrorist being dumb or the public taken action.  Yet, Russia gives us information on the Boston bombers, but we fail to connect the dots.  It would have been better if Russia made a phone call to someone in the states and we may have picked it up.  Even better, Russia could have called a Tea Party group and it surely would have been picked up.   

This snooping by the NSA has gone beyond the original intent of the Patriot Act.  Is this administration and the NSA claiming that 300 million citizens are potential terrorist and must be monitored when the original program only allowed this spying on those calls going from and to countries or individuals known to house terrorist or individuals.  Not 300 million people.  With the new NSA spy center in Utah do to be fully operational this fall, we will have no privacy, unless you purchase all items with cash or use snail mail.  Of course if you make a large purchase with cash, the IRS will be notified and we know how good they are. 

In keeping with the allegation that it is necessary to monitor all electronic communication, we must remember what Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said nearly 4 years ago.  That we must be watchful for returning veterans, Tea Party groups, bible reading Christians, supporters of the 2nd Amendment and other conservative groups since they have the potential to engage in terrorist activity.  With thinking like this, you now understand why this administration is trying to monitor everyone in this country.  This is right out of George Orwell's 1984, only 30 years late.  If you doubt this, there were movies made on this book, one was in cartoon format and others were made in 1984 and 1954.  But to get the accurate version of this book, you must read the book since we all know how the liberals in Hollywood would change the content in the movie to suit their own political ideology.  An informed educated public is the only way to defeat these threats to our constitution and way of life.  This is not limited to only one political party.  It is just that the Obama administration has taken it beyond what the Bush administration did and we know as electronic equipment for snooping improves, who knows where it will it will go.  But as usual, after 5 years in office, Obama is still dropping President Bush's name as responsible.  This man and his administration will not accept blame for anything that goes wrong in his administration unless of course it shines a light on some good deed, like killing of Osama Bin Laden.  There is no end to the I did this, I did that, I ordered this and I ordered that.  Listen to his speeches carefully and you see a narcissistic, self idolizing person who only takes credit for good events that others perform and blames Bush or some low level employee who is actually clueless to the event.    

A new Tax System in now Needed.

Something to think about.

We must eliminate the IRS and go to a Flat Tax or a Fair Tax (sometimes called a consumption tax).  This would eliminate at least 95% of the IRS and make filing taxes easier.  Under a Flat Tax of 17% everyone, including businesses would pay 17% on income regardless of the amount of income reported whether you make $1 or $100 Million with either no deductions or limited deductions to charities (bonafide charities) and religious organizations. The mortgage deduction could be only 50% or not at all.  The 17% would also include the money deducted for SS and Medicare that is presently taken our of your salary. 

The Fair Tax would be a tax of approximately 23% on all purchases.  Now we know that seems high, but your income would not be taxed and the 23% would include present deductions taken out of your salary for SS and Medicare.  Also, this tax would be paid by everyone who makes a purchase, even tourist and those who make money illegally and not reported, but must buy items.  So, if you purchase a $25,000 car you pay $5,750 in taxes and if you purchase a $70,000 car you pay $16,100.  The more you buy and the more an item cost, the more you pay.  When you review how much is taken from your salary in deductions today, you will see that you will come out ahead or at least break even, but more income would come into the government and no need to file returns.  Of course this tax does allow some type of rebates to taxpayers but you must research this to better understand the benefits.  At least those three letters IRS will not frighten you anymore.  And one additional benefit of either of these two tax systems is it would eliminate our honest politicians in Congress from granting tax exemptions to their friends that has only increased the tax law to over 70,000 pages that nobody fully understands not even the IRS.  Remember, power corrupts and our present tax laws are made to corrupt. 

 

 

 

 

 

Who are we?

We thought we were a Democratic Republic, that was given to us by a Founding Fathers in our Constitution, a government never seen before on this planet and a country that has been the most successful in history.  Now over the past 100 years, we have seen a slow deteriorating of our constitutional rights that appears to have been accelerated under the Obama Administration.   

We know under the so called Patriot Act passed under the Bush administration, our government through its' various agencies, were going to monitor telephone and internet activity between known groups or individuals in this country associated or supporters of radical groups in other countries by eavesdropping on their conversations.  However, this was going to be limited to those identified groups and would need FISA approval, (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) which prescribes procedures for the physical and electronic surveillance and collection of "foreign intelligence information" between "foreign powers" and "agents of foreign powers" which may include American citizens and permanent residents suspected of espionage or terrorism. We also know when President Obama was campaigning for president he stated he would have his AG review all the practices of the Bush administration related to the Patriot Act and other alleged claims that he his liberal supporters constantly objected to as an invasion of privacy.  But, now that he is president and he sees how big government can become a useful tool for destroying and annoying his political opponents by using the IRS and the NSA for political purposes these practices seem acceptable.  Pres. Obama claims this is all about protecting the country, but what we have seen over the past 100 years it is about crushing individual rights.  We also know that before Obama became president, he made a statement that he did not agree with our constitution on how it stipulated the Bill of Rights that dictated what the government cannot take away.  His preference was that government should dictate what you can and cannot have as we have seen throughout the world and particularly in socialist/Marxist and communist countries.  This destruction of our rights began under Theodore Roosevelt (Republican) and Woodrow Wilson (Democrat) both of who had a great dislike for our constitution and would have preferred a dictator if they could have changed our constitution.  This has been a slow progression to where we are today and those who were pushing this agenda and are pursuing this agenda today are on track to get their wish.  It is the voters in this country that must speak up.  But we also know, even with the publicity on all the scandals we are hearing over the past few months, that at least 50% of the voters are still clueless.  We know the news media, except for a few stations and talk radio, have been mostly silent on these scandals.  However, they did get a little upset when they heard that a news reporter was being a target of the DOJ and now that it has been revealed the NSA has been spying on Americans phone calls and internet Emails, that goes way beyond what was in the Patriot Act, they are now providing some coverage, but the coverage seems to claim it is rogue or low level employees in these agencies or a leftover policy from the Bush administration.  Again, this administration and their supporters are trying to blame everyone but the Obama administration. Power corrupts and we are witnessing this first hand with all these scandals.

 

Obama says "IN YOUR FACE"

We had Fast and Furious, Benghazi, AP, James Rosen and IRS scandal and with the coming appointment Susan Rice and the Jewish racist Stephanie Powers as UN Ambassador nominee, Pres. Obama is telling the Republicans and the citizens, "screw you, I am the President and will do what I want".  It is time for all Republicans to stand and fight or wimp out.  The choice is theirs  

No additional funding for Obamacare, IRS. 

Put forth a one page bill on eliminating the current income tax to a FLAT TAX of 17% for all including businesses with limited deductions.  This one flax tax would also pay for SS and Medicare.  Deductions for charity donations, religious organizations and 50% of mortgage taxies.  Nothing else.  With the current IRS scandal, the America people would rally around this bill and let's see what the democrats and the president will do.  The tax could take effect on Jan 1, 2014 and the current IRS as we know it eliminated on Dec. 31, 2014.  Very few employees would be needed to enforce the new tax law.  One page is all that is needed, no special deductions for friends and everyone pays their fair share regardless of income.  Of course, we could eliminate the mortgage deduction all together, but no more than 50% since this would be fair for those who do not have a mortgage.   

It is time to do to Obama what he is doing to the Republicans.  Pass legislation that will put the democrats on the defensive and the citizens will like.  It is time to go on the offensive not through words, that have no meaning, but through actions that the public can see and read.  The least number of pages in a bill, the better the public will support.  NO AMENDMENTS ADDED TO THE LEGISLATION.  ALL REJECTED JUST LIKE THE DEMOCRATS DO.
