Another riot after a police shooting

Saturday, a Milwaukee police officer shoots a 23 year old black man who was armed with a gun and after a brief foot chase faced the officer pointing the gun.  The 23 year old black man was shot and killed.  Naturally, since this was a police officer shooting a black man, the residents got restless, and without knowing all the facts, began to riot and burn their community down.  Another episode of black lives matter.  It is interesting to note the police officer was black, not that would make a difference to all those rioters who wanted to do some early Christmas shopping.  Any excuse to get free stuff.  I mean if they want more free stuff, they should be voting for Hillary who has promised everyone freebees, a chicken in every pot, free cellphones, free education, free housing, free cars, free jobs, free anything you can think about.  Of course, I am exaggerating a little, but you get the point.

Now, why are we seeing all these riots after a police shooting?  Well it all goes back to the beginning of President Obama’s first term concerning an incident in Cambridge Mass. when without knowing the facts (something he does frequently) accuses the police of acting stupidly.   Since then, our great leader has spoken on other shootings of blacks, predominantly by whites, again without knowing the facts.  We had Treyvon Martin in an altercation with a neighborhood watch person (at least that is what was claimed), and again without knowing all the facts, our great leader states if he had a son, he would be like Treyvon Martin.  

Then there is Michael Brown who was involved in a strong arm robbery of a convenience store where he stole merchandise and then pushed the store owner when the owner attempted to stop Brown.  The officer that responded to the call encountered Brown in the street and a confrontation resulted and Michael Brown attempted to take the officer’s firearm and fortunately for the officer, was not very successful and was shot and killed.  The allegation that Michael Brown had his hands up and stated, “Don’t shoot”, was a fabrication and verified by a grand jury and Justice Department investigation.  However, as usual, our great leader had to say something and made sure the DOJ would investigate and we know the result.  Again, the president spoke without knowing the facts.  

Another great shopping spree occurred in Baltimore where a male identified as Freddy Grey was taken into custody and placed inside a police transportation van and by the end of the ride had to be transported to a hospital with a serious neck injury.  Now there was a second prisoner in that van and he verified that although the ride was a little bumpy, Mr. Grey would not stay seated and as a result his injury occurred.  Now we know Mr. Grey was not secured in the van and just days before there was a new policy about making sure prisoners were secured when being transported.  However, the officers never received training on this new departmental procedure nor were they aware since the order was not transmitted down to them at the time.  Again, our great leader had to speak out without knowing all the facts.  Also, the Mayor told the police to give the rioters distance (another way of saying, allow them to loot stores) and this resulted in mass rioting and free shopping in Baltimore.  So the city attorney who had limited experience in prosecuting criminal cases decided to formally charge 6 officers in the death of Mr. Grey and 4 were acquitted and no further prosecution will take place.  But, we all know our great leader spoke again.  By President Obama speaking out on these cases and others without waiting until all facts are known and the investigations completed, he cannot wait to inflame these situations and thus cause those in these communities to riot, burn and loot.  Rather than set the example and tell the community to remain calm and let the legal system take its cost, he cannot sit idly by, but must take center stage and inflame the situation and blame the police for overreacting.  Again, before the facts are in.  President Obama is the great agitator in chief that has encouraged violence in all these situations.  He just cannot keep his mouth shut.   

However, with nearly daily shootings of blacks in Chicago, the president’s hometown since January 1, 2016 there has been over 2627 shootings, 405 shot and killed, 40 shot and killed in August and it is only 8/14 as of this writing.  This past weekend in Chicago, 9 people were shot and killed and 30 wounded and one of those killed was a 20 year old son of a police officer sitting on his front porch.  We learned this week that Chicago gangs claimed they were going kill police officers.  This was a drive by shooting, something gangs are known to do.  For the year there have been 446 total homicides.  Yet, have we heard the president or anyone in his administration discuss these crime statistics.  No, and why is that.  Because these are mostly, black on black crime and not white on black shootings or police on black shootings.  Think maybe this president is a racist or is attempting to encourage anarchy.  Rest assured, this president will not be returning to Chicago after his term is up.  I wonder why?  Quoting Forrest Gump, “stupid is what stupid does”.
