IMPEACHMENT? DON'T BET ON IT

We had President Nixon forced to resign for lying on Watergate scandal or face an impeachment hearing.  We have President Obama that has lied and intentionally misled on Fast and Furious, Benghazi, DOJ, IRS, NSA scandals and now what he said for over 4 years on Obamacare that if you like you insurance you can keep it, keep your doctor and will see your premium decline by $2500.  Now he is trying to extract himself from what he said that everyone has seen on video recordings numerous times that we cannot even keep track of all the lies.

According to the constitution you can be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors and one has to wonder would continually lying to the American people for 4 years fall under the category.  However, even if it did, the House must bring impeachment charges against the president and the Senate would hold the hearing under the direction of the Supreme Court Chief Justice.  In this case it would be Chief Justice John Roberts. But we also know that the Speaker of the House, John Boehner has no backbone and would not go down that path.  During this president's tenure, Congressman John Boehner has become a wussy and has allowed this president to get his way.   Most republicans are only interested in getting elected and remaining in power.  That is also the reason some of the establishment republicans are moving to collect campaign funds to fight against Tea Party candidates within their own party.  How dare these republicans actually represent those who elected them rather than the party.  If you are a democrat all you have to do and sit back and watch.

If you are a republican, your motto should be, " No backbone, No money" when the republican party sends you mail requesting a contribution.  The people must be represented over the party.  And that goes for both republicans and democrats.  Both parties represent their party and not their constituents.  Party first, friends and family second followed by lobbyist and somewhere around number 10 you may find the constituents.

Of the 535 members in Congress there are only approximately 15 that are worth anything.  That is why we need a constitutional amendment for term limits.  We know congress would not pass such an amendment but it could pass with 38 states.  Since all amendments must pass through the state legislature for approval, whether congress passes one or not does not matter since the final decision rest with the states and congress is not needed.  All we need is enough governors to call for a constitutional convention to pass such an amendment and only this amendment.  In fact, passing a second amendment rescinding the 17th amendment would be beneficial also.  The Founding Fathers knew.
