So, this past weekend there was a continuing of black on black shootings that have taken place every weekend this year in addition to the usual shootings during the week. These shootings just received a oh hum what is new response from the news media and Chicago. However, this weekend the police shot an armed black male who was shooting at the police. This became upsetting to the black residents, so to show their outrage, they decided to go to the “Magnificent Mile” for some free shopping. Now that the riots have entered the fame shopping district and caused widespread destruction, the mayor may decide to take action since these riots took place in this famous shopping area.
