Environmentalists and Fossil Fuels

First it was global warming and when that did not work, the name was changed to climate change.  In the 1970’s we were being threatened with global cooling, but money could not be made on that issue, so Al Gore and company pushed for a different climate attack and today we have climate change.  All as a result of fossil fuels, that include coal, oil and gas.  They want to replace fossil fuels with windmills and solar panels that can barely produce 4 % of energy today and depend on the wind blowing and the sun shining.    Yet, nobody is discussing exactly what fossil fuels have provided the world over the last 100 years.  To name a few, fabrics, plastics, water purification, food production and sewage treatment to name a few.  If not for fossil fuels you would not have seen growth in electronics, space exploration and all the industries the space program developed that have provided a better living standard for us.  Should I mentioned weather satellites?

Due to fossil fuels, people can live anywhere in this country since fossil fuels provide either heat or cooling for our homes and vehicles we use to travel to various locations throughout this country, something that renewables cannot do today.  How many people today would be living in Florida, and other warm weather states in the summer time and cold climates in the winter without the benefits of fossil fuels?  In the colder climates would there still be a forest as tress would be cut down to provide heat and cooking.  And would the water we drink be cleaned of bacteria to drink and animal and human waste in streams where early settlers would get their water.   Just look at the so called 3^rd world countries that do not have the benefit of fossil fuels for housing, cooking, farming, waste removal, water purification, both drinking and recreation as well as medicines to name a few of the many advantages that fossil fuels have brought to the world. 

So, do not believe that fossil fuels are evil when there is no other alternative that can replace fossil fuels today.  Yes, maybe in another 100 years we may develop other forms of energy to replace many areas we use fossil fuels today, but until then, we need fossil fuels. 

A little research will get you the knowledge that the rise is CO2 levels over the past 100 years is nearly negligible combined with a rise of only 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit during that time frame.  The doomsayers claim that 97% of scientist claim there is global warming, but one must read into the statistics and what is actually claimed and by who.

In the 1970’s it was being claimed that by the year 2000, England would not exist or in the 1980’s that fossil fuels would be close to non-existent by 2020 and billions of people would be dead due to climate warming, famines and air pollution.  Don’t believe the lies and deception.  Research for yourself.  Fossils fuels have brought us a better life.  Of course we could and should go to clean nuclear energy, but that would not be suitable for the climate change crowd.  Of course, one must ask these people how they travel to their events.  I have yet to see a plane with a windmill or sail that flies or a car with the same equipment.   Maybe they bike around the country.  But then again, if not for fossil fuels, they would not have a bike to ride.  Hypocrites?  I would say so.  How much money have these global climate warming advocates made with their speeches and warnings?
