Gunman breaks into Texas home after midnight, so homeowner grabs his own gun and shoots intruder multiple times, killing him

A gunman broke into an east Texas home in the middle of the night over the weekend, but the homeowner was a little smarter and a little faster than the intruder, grabbing his own gun and killing the unwelcome guest with multiple shots.

What are the details?

Erik J. Hicks, 51, of Grand Saline, “unlawfully forced entry” into the Canton home around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, the Tyler Morning Telegraph reported, citing the Canton Police Department.

Hicks was armed with a handgun, KLTV-TV reported, citing a joint investigation by police and the Texas Rangers.

When the homeowner heard Hicks break in, he got his own handgun, police told the Morning Telegraph.

Police said after Hicks entered the residence, he made his way into the living area and confronted the homeowner, after which the homeowner shot him multiple times, the paper said.

Responding officers found the wounded suspect, who was taken to a local hospital and died a short time later, police added to the Morning Telegraph.

The homeowner has not been charged, the paper said, but the case will be referred to the Van Zandt County Grand Jury for review after the investigation concludes.

Hicks’ body was taken to the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas for an autopsy, the Morning Telegraph added.

Think twice before doing crime in the Lone Star State

The incident marks at least the fourth time in the last three months that a Texas homeowner defended life and property with a gun:

A female homeowner in March shot a male intruder who refused to leave after breaking into her Longview home. The suspect was arrested after his release from a hospital, and the sheriff said the homeowner's actions are an "excellent example of the importance of our Second Amendment."

In April, a mother who was getting ready to take her kids to school shot a stranger multiple times when he refused to obey her repeated orders to leave the front porch of her home in Spring.

A week later, a male intruder broke into a home in San Antonio while a mother and her three children were inside. However, the mom had a gun and shot the intruder dead.

Oregon forces all schools — elementary and up — to put 'menstrual products' in boys' bathrooms with 'instructions on how to use' them

The law aims to 'affirm the right to menstrual dignity for transgender, intersex, nonbinary, and two-spirit students.'

Every public school in Oregon — including elementary institutions — will soon be required to provide tampons and other feminine products in boys' bathrooms with "instructions on how to use" them.

The controversial requirement is in accordance with the state's new Menstrual Dignity Act, signed into law by Democratic Gov. Kate Brown last year, which mandates that menstrual products be made available in "every student bathroom."

Following the bill's passage, the Oregon Department of Education developed and distributed a "Medical Dignity for Students" toolkit to aid local districts and set forth a phased plan for districts to meet the law's standards and requirements.

Effective immediately, each school is required to have menstrual product dispensers in at least two bathrooms. But by June 2023, dispensers are required in every student bathroom, KGW-TV reported. The department emphasized that schools must "consider all-gender access to the products."

Sasha Grenier, a sexual health specialist with the department, said, "This new program will help students participate actively in classes and school activities by alleviating some of the economic strain and experiences of shame that are often barriers for menstruating people accessing their education."

Michela Bedard, executive director of Portland-based advocacy group PERIOD, added in a press release that "this is a progressive policy, but also a bipartisan one ... because menstruation does not discriminate from race, class or political affiliation."

Apparently, menstruation does not discriminate based on sexual orientation or gender identity, either. The state's resources for abiding by the law are littered with inclusive phrases such as "students who menstruate" and "menstruating and non-menstruating students." The department argues the law promotes "menstrual equity."

The toolkit goes on to say the new law aims to "affirm the right to menstrual dignity for transgender, intersex, nonbinary, and two-spirit students."

Portland Public Schools is reportedly excited to begin its planned implementation of the every bathroom requirement.

In a recent statement, the district announced that it had made feminine products available in "female and all-gender restrooms" and added that the products would be provided in "all remaining restrooms, including boys' bathrooms," by the start of the next school year.

The progressive law, however, is facing a fair amount of pushback, as well.

In a recent column, Family Research Council president Tony Perkins blasted the "absurd" law, noting that local taxpayers would be on the hook for thousands of new tampon dispensers, which are expected to cost roughly $400 a machine.

He added that in most cases, all the equity-forward measure will accomplish is giving school janitors more to clean up as young boys undoubtedly take advantage of the new and unusual prank materials.

"Obviously, state leaders didn't bother to consult their counterparts in Illinois, where a similar move has literally opened the floodgates to expensive plumbing issues and mischief," Perkins wrote. "Case in point: campuses like Loyola University, where janitors are dealing with all kinds of pranks, tampering, and vandalism.

Sanitary pads "would end up on the mirrors, in the sinks, down the toilet, and completely thrown out," one students' group complained, according to Perkins.

Interesting information on Fossil Fuels

 According to the American Petroleum Institute, we have enough oil in North America to fuel every single passenger car and long-haul truck for the next 430 years. We have enough natural gas to provide electricity for every business and household for the next 535 years and enough coal to provide electricity for about 500 years. So, don’t you think that in 430 years we will have developed alternative fuel sources? Why then did Joe Biden sacrifice America’s energy independence, cease all exploration for oil and gas, abandon pipeline development and drive up prices of gasoline, heating oil, and jet fuel and make us once again dependent on foreign oil?

Isn’t it curious that in some states like California, Washington and Illinois, shoplifting of items less than $950 is not a crime but the Biden Build Back Better Spendalooza calls for hiring 87,000 IRS agents to monitor individual banking transactions of $600 or more? Fascinating. 

Someone needs to educate me as to how we are going to produce all the batteries needed to facilitate a transition away from fossil fuels to battery-driven vehicles when the basic ingredients for batteries are all found in rare minerals such as lithium, cobalt, and zinc and others, all of which must be mined in countries not exactly friendly to us. Also, if you have ever driven on the Cross Bronx Expressway or the 405 in Southern California and were stuck in traffic, how exactly will the repair truck reach a disabled vehicle before their battery dies…along with the batteries of all the other vehicles in traffic? 

When will construction start to build the 500,000 battery charging stations Joe Biden told us about? Where will they be situated? Won’t they be powered by burning fossil fuels?  

If you ever feel like you haven’t accomplished anything, try to remember that it took 20 years, trillions of dollars and four Presidents to replace the Taliban in Afghanistan with………. the Taliban. 

If you feel your job is hard and you are unappreciated, think about the poor slob who serves as the sign language interpreter for Joe Biden.

Let me try to understand this: we can’t seem to find illegals to deport, but we can sure find them to give them money! How does that work?

Betrayers of the United States

As we celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus, we are again reminded of Judas who betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. 

Today, we have people betraying the United States, for millions and billions.  The rich and powerful in this country are engaged in dealings with China that is providing China with the latest technology for their business enterprises.   These individuals and corporations like to claim they are just business deals.  But what they do not say is well known.  Any Chinese business or individuals that are engaged with business deals with corporations from other countries, mostly the United States, that when you do business in China, you are doing business with the Chinese Military, intelligence agencies and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). 

So, these so-called rich and powerful from Silicon Valley and other companies have supplied China with the latest technology that can be used against the United States and the free world.  Taiwan must be alert for what is coming and must thank Silicon Valley and the Davos rich and powerful for what could be their destruction.    

Two thousand years ago it was 30 pieces of silver and today millions and billions.  Money over country.  Hunter Biden, ChinaJoebama and the entire Biden family know this also.   That is why ChinaJoebama does not address any serious issues with China since the Biden’s are compromised and China would expose them.  By maintaining silence, China is getting everything they want, but None Dare Call it Treason.  But, if it was Trump on the ther hand……………………………………………………………………

 

Hunter Biden, ChinaJoebama and the laptop from hell

 

I have read Miranda Devine’s book on Hunter Biden and all the items that were on Hunter’s laptop.  It is interesting not only how Hunter used his last name to garner deals with companies and organizations that he had no background or experience with the financial deals these organizations were doing.  But these groups knew they could get to ChinaJoebama through Hunter and the money would come rolling in.  Even though ChinaJoebama would claim he was unaware of Hunter’s financial dealings, (though his savings account grew) even when Hunter would join ChinaJoebama on Air Force 2 for trips to Ukraine and China as well as other countries where Hunter was making deals. 

What is also interesting is when Hunter was seeing a counselor for his private life, both Hunter and the counselor discussed what they saw in ChinaJoebama and his declining cognitive ability and the onset of dementia.  Now you know why his handlers kept him in his basement for most of the campaign and why they made sure in certain states there were voter irregularities that only now are coming to light even though those of us with ½ a brain knew there was no way a person campaigning from his basement would get 81 million votes.  But, with the news media against Trump any and all accusations were addressed as Russian propaganda.  Russia, Russia, Russia was really the Biden family connections.  As we have learned over the years, when the Communist Party (formerly the DNC) makes allegations against the republicans, the allegations are really what they are doing.

But during the Obama/Biden regime, Wall Street companies were using Hunter and his “connections” to make deals in China and the fact that Obama put ChinaJoebama in charge of Asia issues only improved Wall Street’s deals.  The election of Trump put an end to China deals even though those Wall Street billionaires tried all the tricks of the trade to get Trump to relent and Trump would not budge. 

That is why Wall Street supported ChinaJoebama in the 2020 election as well as other rich investors.  These groups were only interested in making money whether it was US dollars or China yuan and the United States be damned.  A few China billionaires that strayed from the CCP line miraculously disappeared.  So these millionaires, and billionaires do not care what damage they may do to our country.  They have decided just like the NBA or Hollywood that pleasing China keeps the money rolling in and for the rest of us, go screw yourself. 

The entire Biden family is a criminal organization where deals are made while ChinaJoebama remains in the background and pretends he is oblivious to what is happening.  But we do know we are all witnessing his onset of dementia as he babbles along in his speeches and somewhere along the way someone in his administration must correct what he said.  But, who is this person making these corrections?  Who is really running the country?  Susan Rice, Obama, Blinken, Ron Klein.  We know that Obama made a statement after being out of office, that he wished somebody would get elected president that he could have complete control over while sitting in his basement.  Is he the one performing ChinaJoebama duties?  In either case, as we watch the performance of ChinaJoebama’s presidency, it appears unlikely he would complete 4 years.  But if he does, the world will not be the same and we may not be the country that we have been for over 230 years. 

Open borders will destroy our country internally without a war just what the millionaires and billionaires as well as the woke people would like to see.  Power will be in the hands of the rich and powerful while the rest of us become their slaves.  Our constitution must be destroyed in order to have a new world order where all the power is in their hands.  These Devos power brokers prefer a government as we see in China where all rights will come from government and those who disagree will be sent to internment camps for reeducation.  The rich and powerful will dictate what you can and cannot do with their version of the CCP that will be in control.
