Presidential protestors don't understand America

Those who carry signs declaring that Donald Trump isn't their president demonstrate an abysmal ignorance of American government and constitutional republics – and for that we can thank our education system.

The inauguration of Donald Trump was remarkable in many ways, not the least of which was that six different individuals offered prayers, with four of those prayers ending in Jesus' name and the other two openly quoting from the Bible. Clearly absent was the typical government-mandated politically correct prayer. Ministers were once again allowed to pray according to the dictates of their own conscience, as originally intended by the U.S. Constitution.

Another unique feature of his inauguration was the large number of protestors present. Most were Millennials, and while some focused on single subjects (e.g., immigration, global warming, ObamaCare), others were still protesting the general election results. Among the latter group, a common protest sign was "Trump is not my president." But that statement says more about our education system than it does about those who held the signs. It affirms the failure of American education in four areas: American history, government, Constitution, and truth.

First, the sign was intended to express their outrage over the fact that Hillary won the popular vote by 2.9 million votes (out of 128.8 million cast) but lost the presidency – an outcome they believed was unprecedented in the history of American elections. Only it wasn't. The identical thing has happened in several other presidential elections. Shame on schools for not teaching basic American history and why such outcomes occur.

Second, the message on the sign was rooted in the protestors' mistaken belief that America is a democracy. But we are not. Those who formed our government hated democracies and wisely protected us from them. For example, James Madison affirmed that "democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention [and] incompatible with personal security or the rights of property." Founder Fisher Ames warned, "A democracy is a volcano which conceals the fiery materials of its own destruction," and John Adams lamented that democracy "never lasts long….There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide." For thousands of years, democracies have consistently proved to be a source of lurking disaster – an unpredictable form of government where passions and selfishness are allowed to prevail over reason and deliberation. America was therefore established as a constitutional republic – what John Adams described as "a government of laws and not of men." Shame on schools for not teaching basic American government.

Third, the "Trump is not my president" sign affirmed their unawareness of how presidents are to be elected according to the Constitution – an election process that mirrors our federal bicameral system. For example, Wyoming has half-a-million citizens, but California has 39 million. So in the U.S. House, Wyoming gets only one congressman while California gets 53, and California will beat Wyoming on every vote in the House. The popular vote of the House will always prevail in that chamber. But in the Senate, California gets only two senators – the same as Wyoming; the representation is solely by state, and every state has equal voting strength with all others. This is a prominent feature in our federal system. A bill is not passed merely by the House, which reflects the popular vote; it also must be passed in the Senate, which reflects the vote by states.

The protestors believe that only the national popular vote matters (which Hillary won – barely). But even though she garnered the votes of most of the largest cities in America, she did not win the majority of the states, cities, or counties. In fact, Trump won 30 of the 50 states, more than 80 percent of America's 3,141 counties, and an equally lop-sided percentage of its 35,000 cities. The protestors were unaware (as are most Americans) that the Constitution establishes an election system that balances diverse measurements. Shame on schools for not teaching the Constitution.

Finally, the declaration that "Trump is not my president" establishes personal opinion as the ultimate measure of right and wrong – that truth is whatever I believe or declare it to be. (Polling today shows that two of three Americans believe that there are no moral absolutes – that every individual is his own arbiter of what is right and wrong, or moral.) But the problem with this is that there are absolutes. Jump off the Empire State Building and see what happens. On the way down you may personally object to what is happening, or be offended by it, or even vehemently disagree with it, but none of that will change the results. There is no alternate reality. None. Shame on schools for teaching students to elevate personal opinion above absolute facts.

It's time that Americans demand that their schools once again teach American history (so students know that the popular vote winner does not always win the presidential election), American government (so they know we are a republic and not a democracy), the Constitution (so they understand our bicameral federal and election system), and absolute truth (that personal opinion must submit to truth and reality). If we don't make these changes, we will not want to imagine, much less experience, the horrifying results from Abraham Lincoln's warning that "the philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next."

God help America if citizens don't act to change our schools.

The Trump agenda. Will Congress put up roadblocks?

As of Friday, January 20^th right after Trump took the oath of office, the establishment in both parties, that includes Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell were put on notice that change is coming and Congress works for the people and we have a government of the people, by the people and for the people and not a government for congressional members to use as they wish for their own enrichment.  

Instead of extending the debt ceiling in March, Trump wants cuts in government spending through cuts in all agencies and if possible to eliminate many of the more than 600 agencies that mostly serve at the whim of congress for patronage jobs.  Featherbedding and such must end and congress must go back to work for the good of the country not their pockets, or a particular group or organizations.  Taxpayer money must be spent wisely and earmarks, pork barrel spending or whatever term used, must end.  The business of congress is to serve the country not themselves, their family, friends and associates. 

So congress has been put on notice, but will the elitist in both parties honor their pledge to the constitution when they took office, or will they put up roadblocks against any action by the Trump administration that may endanger their country club.  

If this happens, the people must speak out and let their representative know their displeasure and not fall for their false rhetoric.  The time to reign in government is now.  A $20 Trillion debt is not manageable and any idea in solving this is to just raise the debt ceiling is unacceptable.  This is how congress avoids their fiduciary and financial responsibilities by avoiding making hard choices.  So, the government shuts down.  No big deal as Medicare, Social Security, military and other agencies will not be affected, but we will see what is classified as non-essential and then scratch our heads and wonder if this agency or group of people are non-essential, why?  Can we not cut here?  Tough decisions must be made, but does congress have the courage to make tough decisions?  As of this writing, I would say no.  Many members of congress are only interested in themselves and not the country.  From the day they get elected, they are planning and fund raising to get themselves re-elected.  If they put in as much time and effort into working for the country, we would not have $20 Trillion in debt and government would be streamlined and more efficient, unlike what we see today. 

We have a president for the first time that is a successful business person and knows that inefficiency does not work and is costly, something congress does not understand.  You cannot just throw money at an issue under the illusion this will correct or solve the problem.  Costly, inefficient programs and agencies must be cut, but again, does congress have the will power or courage to take on this task.  If not, I suggest they resign and bring someone else who understands business and cutting cost is the only way to bring the cost of government under control.  

How will the public react if congress blocks Trump’s agenda?  I hope the public will get the message out to congress, reduce government or get out of the way. 

Democrats running away from Inauguration

As of 11:45 am on Wednesday, the number of crybabies in the House has climbed to 64.  My question is, does anyone really care? Even John dumb dumb Kerry will not be attending either.  Cannot wait for that jerk to be gone on Friday at 12 noon.  

The real problem is the radicals, socialist and Marxism that want to create unrest at the inauguration and in our country.  What these radicals really want is to move to overthrow our form of government and move towards a dictatorship akin to what Obama was attempting.  Listen to them and you realize this is what they want.  They are witnessing the move our country was heading towards was rejected by the voters.  Now, they claim that Hillary received the popular vote.  But, remove NY and California and in the popular vote, Hillary lost dramatically. The northeast nor the west coast should not decide for the country who should be president.  Just why the Founders gave us the Electoral College.  

Friday, 12 noon cannot come soon enough.

The Inauguration Withdrawal

As of this writing, we have 31 democrats that will not attend the inauguration.  But, does anyone really cares if any democrat attends?  Now, when Obama was elected, we did not see such viral hate and the republicans attended the inauguration.  Again, would you expect anything else from a group of losers and crybabies?  Because that is exactly what they are.  When they were children and they were not selected to participate in an activity, they took their ball and went home. "We did not get what we wanted and take that".  Good riddance.  The country will still run and we will not be using their socialist/Marxist agenda, but our constitution.  Or as Obama said to Sen. McCain, elections have consequences, I won, you lost. 

I might add, if you work in a business where you work under a new boss you do not like, then you quit your job and go elsewhere.  This is what these 31 democrats should do in protest.  But, we know that will never happen and give up their $174,000 salary plus perks, in addition to the millions they mostly likely made in other areas.  Remember, Hillary claimed they were broke when they left the White House and now they are worth over $150 Million.  Wouldn't we all like a job like that where your other income exceeds your basic salary.  How many poor politicians can you identify.  The answer is none.  Something, Trump wants to upset and these elitist in both parties want to prevent.  

Boycotting the Inauguration and more

We are learning how some performers have been intimidated into not performing at the Trump inauguration by left wing socialist/Marxist radicals that together with their comrades within the Democratic Party are trying their best to make the inauguration a disaster.  Try as they may though, that will never happen. What they are actually doing is showing the entire country their true colors and the socialist/Marxist ideology they embrace over our Constitutional Republic.  The same ideology that has doomed the former Soviet Union and their Eastern Bloc countries as well as Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela today and believe it or not China with their propped up economy.  I might add that this is the ideology that Obama was taught and embraced during his teens and twenties and believes in today.  

Under their ideology, freedom of speech is only free if it meets their criteria.  Freedom of the press is acceptable if the stories are those they have approved in advance.  We have learned how those in the news media would show the Obama people what they intended to say or write and awaited their approval.  Would you expect otherwise from the same news media that gave questions in advanced to Hillary Clinton that were going to be asked at the presidential debate.  

Our freedom will only be free if we reject these socialist/Marxist and stand our ground never let them gain a foothold in our Republic and drive them back into the caves they came from.  Or take up a collection to help them fly to Canada where they promise to go or even better to Venezuela, Cuba or North Korea.  Three countries that embrace this ideology.  

These radicals see their grip on our country and freedom slipping away as the American public hopefully has awaken to this threat to their freedom.  This why they are doing their best to demonstrate and disrupt the upcoming inauguration in a vain attempt to discredit Trump and his administration as a stolen election with the help of Russia.  Yet, as I stated and others in FBI, CIA and the Obama administration have stated, the Russians did not hack into the voting systems of our country and did not alter any votes as some in the media would want you to believe.  

Either the Russians, China, North Korea or even Israel may have hacked into the DNC and released the Emails that showed the conspiracy within the Democratic Party to block Bernie Sanders from securing the democratic nomination that was handed to Hillary as far back as 2008 after the Obama election.  As for John Podesta, when you give out your password, you can expect your Emails to be hacked.  Stupidity is what stupid does.

In fact, if one was to do a little research, one would find that some of the big organizations that contributed to the Democratic Party and individual candidates were front organizations for the Communist Party USA and a lot of that money went to democratic candidates in California.  But that requires a little effort in researching. 

As I have stated many times, Obama was and still is anti-American, anti-Israel and anti-England and is living the Dreams of His Father, the same title of his book.  His father believed these three countries were responsible for all the ills of the world and the father had a great hate for England since they sent troops into what is now Kenya during Mau Mau uprising in opposition to British colonialism in what was an English colony at the time.   The Prime Minister at the time of the quelling of the Mau Mau uprising was none other than Winston Churchill.  That is why, on the third day of Obama’s term in office he returned the bust of Winston Churchill to the British embassy.  This bust was given to Pres. George Bush for the United States to show England’s support for our country after 9-11.

This explains why in the closing weeks of his administration, Pres. Obama had the UN vote against Israel and in a meeting in Europe today, Sunday, Jan. 15, John Kerry will push for more condemnation of Israel again.  Pres. Obama has already screwed our country and has done his best to get even with England.  This explains the Obama foreign policy for the past 8 years.  Understand this, and you are awaken to why we have a reduced military, withdrawn from the Middle East, permitted Russia to have free reign in the Middle East and Europe and allowed China to push their aggressiveness in the South China Sea.  Under Obama’s thinking, you understand the world situation that has collapsed into chaos.  In Obama’s eyes, he has succeeded with his agenda.  Now it will be up to Trump to right the ship.  Without our leadership in the world over the past 8 years we are witnessing the end result.  We hope and pray, Pres. Trump will make the necessary changes and improvements to our country thus bringing back our leadership as a block to Russian, China, and other nations that had free reign for 8 years.  The world is crying out for a real leader and Trump has told the world, we are coming back and help is on the way starting Friday, January 20^th at 12 noon.    We will not only Make America Great Again, but our enemies will also know, We Are Back.
