Death Panels Alive And Well In Canada And Coming Here

Health Care: Canada's Supreme Court has ruled that under the "law of the land" in Ontario, a government board, not the family or doctors, has the ultimate power to pull the plug on a patient.

Lost in the discussion of defunding ObamaCare and the failed effort in Congress is the fact that failure means the government's ability to defund your life through the ObamaCare's Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) remains. IPAB is regarded by many, starting with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, as a death panel whose decisions based on cost effectiveness would result in health care rationing.

A glimpse of this brave new world can be had by casting a glance at our neighbor to the north. There, Canada's Supreme Court ruled 5-2 that under Ontario's Health Care Consent Act, which has been on the books for nearly two decades, doctors cannot overrule a family's wishes for an incapacitated patient regarding life or death decisions, but an administrative tribunal can.

In 1996, Ontario's provincial legislature created the Consent and Capacity Board, a body with the power to make the final decision when doctors and families disagree on keeping a patient alive with continued treatment or pulling the plug, a conflict that can result in endless legal battles.

At issue in the Ontario case was the fate of Hassan Rasouli, a retired engineer who suffered complications following brain surgery three years ago and has been in a vegetative state in a Toronto hospital ever since. Doctors say there is no hope of recovery but the family doesn't want to turn off life support.

The court ruled that the doctors could not overrule the family's wishes, but are able to appeal to the Consent and Capacity Board, which could. Canada has a full-blown single-payer system, which President Obama is undoubtedly aiming for. So the question of when it is cost-effective to treat or keep patients alive becomes more of a matter of space and budget rather than a medical issue.

The question of whether one's life is worth saving or one's condition is worth treating remains a key part of ObamaCare, even while being eclipsed by political maneuverings and enrollment difficulties. And having that decision made by a body such as IPAB has led to legislative efforts to pull the plug on ObamaCare itself.

A House bill to repeal IPAB attracted 22 Democratic co-sponsors. Arkansas Democrat Sen. Mark Pryor co-sponsored a Senate repeal bill after spending the previous three years defending IPAB. The Senate and House measures had, at last count, 32 and 192 co-sponsors, respectively.

Under ObamaCare, IPAB's board of 15 presidentially appointed "experts" will be empowered to make arbitrary Medicare spending-cut decisions with virtually no congressional oversight or control.

Its decisions will not be made on an individual level, but it will decide what treatments and therapies are cost-effective and therefore covered, affecting and possibly costing the lives of those in need of them.

We have documented for years how socialized medicine around the world, particularly Britain's National Health Service, makes centralized decisions based on cost-effectiveness rather than medical need, and how this has led to rationing and denial of service. People literally die while on waiting lists. ObamaCare tries to apply that same approach to Medicare through IPAB.

In a recent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal that Palin could have written, Howard Dean, former head of the Democratic National Committee, called IPAB "essentially a health care rationing body." The former physician said it "will be able to stop certain treatments its members do not favor by simply setting rates to levels where no doctor or hospital will perform them."

The frightening specter of government appointees deciding who lives and who dies by controlling the availability or withholding of treatment based on cost-effectiveness is a grim reality in Britain and Canada. Unchecked, it will happen here.

EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse)

This is in the news again this week and should frighten everyone living in this country.  If you do not know what Electro Magnetic Pulse is, just look it up on the internet.  EMP's will destroy all electronic components.  That means anything that uses any form of electronics, cars, motors, computers, manufacturing equipment, farming equipment and anything else you can think of, will not work.  Just think about that.  How will you survive without air conditioning, refrigeration, motor transportation, food, water purification, heat and any equipment that has any type of electronic ignition or just any form of electronics.  Unless prepared with a food source (MRE's), non-perishable food items that can last a few months, you will starve to death.  Just give this some thought on how you would survive.  Most of us do not hunt for our food and rely upon supermarkets.  However, an EMP will prevent food from being delivered, manufactured, refrigerated and farmers and ranchers will have to resort to doing everything by hand and if smart will take care of themselves first.  Can you hunt, gut your kill and find a refrigerated storage to store you food supply when there will be no electricity to operate such refrigerated storage.   

Our government should have prevented measures in place but have not.  Remember, a EMP will cause planes to fall from the sky, boats and ships to not operate and our military and their equipment to not operate.   

Just something else to think about.  A country that launches an EMP attack against us can destroy us without firing a shot.  You could expect at least 200 million people to die one way or other.  There is a book written two years ago that uses this in their story line and it is worth reading.  The story is based on a study conducted for the DOD that they did not use as the Obama administration ignored the information.  The book is One Second After by William R. Forstchen.

What you may not understand or realize

The Fed Reserve is continuing to print $85 Billion a month that is $1.2 Trillion a year.  This is why the stock market continues to rise and lending rates are not rising.  What you are not being told however, is the more money we print, the less value your money is worth.  The Fed calls printing money as Quantitative  Easing.  Fancy words that really mean as we print money to pay our debt, you get screwed as your money is worth less.  

For those that have been living on another planet, the Fed Reserve is not a government agency, but a private corporation pushed into existence by President Wilson and developed from a meeting on Jekyll Island by a bunch of banks and to this day, we have no idea who the Fed really is.  The banks involved have not been disclosed and this is something that former Congressman Ron Paul pushed for but other members of Congress turned a deaf ear to.  What do you think?  Will your congressional representative hear your voice on this?  Eventually, we will have hyperinflation and collapse.  Anyone that tells you otherwise is either a fool or lying to you.  You cannot print or tax yourself into prosperity.  Our debt will kill us and we cannot continue to kick the can down the road.  Our president and Congress are only interested in power and getting elected over saving our country from collapse.  Ever wonder why China that owes more of our debt than any other country is buying gold like it is going out of style?  Think about it, do research and decide what you will do. 

It is not about Obamacare, but government control

If you listen to the news media on all sides you would think the faults with the web site for Obamacare, is a joke and a $630 Million waste of taxpayers money.  Now, many web designers have stated that this type of site could have been developed for a few million dollars.  So, if that is the case, how much of the $630 Million was kick backed to the democratic party and their supporters for the 2102 election.   

However, the truth is this is all about government control of the citizens and not just healthcare.  It is well known throughout recent history that the way for government to control its' citizen is to start with healthcare.  The fact that at this time there is a major problem with the web site and signing up for healthcare is no big deal since eventually this government will get what they want.  With the progressives republicans going along with this program and voicing objections against members in their own party that have tried to force changes in Obamacare, have it suspended or defunded, the democrats will jump at the opportunity to widen the split to their political advantage.  Of course, with the dumb republican leadership it will not be difficult. 

Before he ran for office, President Obama was critical of our constitution and that is why he campaigned on fundamentally transforming the United States.  Nobody questioned him on this and still don't.  The only thing wrong with this country is our elected officials not adhering to the constitution.  We have the best form of government this world has ever seen, but our politicians have been doing their best over the last 100 years to bypass the constitution and do whatever they want.  Government getting their power from government instead of the people.   

Over the years we have seen government moving to control education, energy and how we use it, what type of car we try, what medical coverage we need, what food we should eat, what our thermostat should be set at and moving towards enforcing UN Agenda 21 that will tell us where we should live. A good accurate research of Agenda 21 will awaken you to what else is on the horizon.    

What we are witnessing is our constitutional republic becoming a government dominated socialist/Marxist form of government where our rights will come from government and not our constitution.  If you doubt that and say this will never happen, you are either not paying attention, are in denial or believe government is the answer to the world problems.  Remember though, government control of its citizen has never succeeded in history, but our Ivy league educated people (mostly from Harvard/Yale) believe they are better educated and know better how we should live and what government can do for us.  Their knowledge is from books and radical anti-American professors who views are generally contrary to what is good for America.   Especially, when you realize many of these people are limited in their actual work experience and went from college to government living off the public dole.   

But fear not, in a few years you will be driving an automobile with a sail on the roof, a windmill on the trunk and all charging a battery.  You may laugh, but just think of all the money this administration has sank into green energy companies own by their big political donors that have failed.  Government is not the answer, but the problem.  This requires some thought, but that is the only conclusion one can draw from what is happening. 

And one more thing

Have you noticed that since this administration's first scandal known as Fast and Furious through the present Obamacare debacle to the closing of mall to veterans that nobody, and I mean nobody has ever been fired or even hinted as being fired.  Incompetence permeates this administration and I guess when you are incompetent yourself you do not see it.  So much for a career community organizer assuming the biggest office in the world.  Clueless is the appropriate word to use.

We should be silent no more

Our president through Health and Human Services is trying to destroy Christianity and Judaism, especially the Catholic Church by forcing these religious organizations to violate their doctrines and moral code by providing insurance coverage for abortion and other procedures that are in direct violation of their teachings.  Now as of January 1, unless the Catholic Church gets a reprieved from court pending their case being heard that will eventually go to the Supreme Court, HHS will force these religious organizatons to provide insurance coverage that they are fighting against.  Now the Catholic Bishops have stated they will not violate their teachings and have even hinted if push comes to shove may close down their more than 600 non-profit hospitals around the country rather than submit to government demands that violates the constitution.  Will our president then become doctor in chief? 

Of course we must remember what Jesus said to Peter to paraphrase, "Thou are Peter the rock and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it".  We now see that evil is located in the White House as this administration is doing their best to destroy Christianity and religion in general, except of course Islam.  I wonder why?   Obama and his cronies want government to be your religion and we saw how successful that was in the former Soviet Union. 

Our Declaration of Independence tells us that our rights come from God and President Obama believes that should not be and our rights should really come from government and we know what government gives government can take away.  In this case, mostly taken away.  With the collapse of the republican backbone, we are now have a dictator in chief .

Sen. Mitch McConnell sold out the American people and the Republican party for a $2 Billion bribe.  The president and Dems got what they wanted and the American people get a deficit increase with no end in sight.  And oh by the way, he is up for election next year.
